The Big E is giving us its own Willy Wonka experience and you have the chance to get a ‘Golden Ticket.’  Officials with the fair announced a lifetime pass opportunity that’s happening today, Nov 18th.  Lifetime passes to The Big E are locked in a golden briefcase for now until today, when they’ll go on sale at 10 a.m. on The Big E’s website. It’s a hundred tickets…$1,000 a piece for a lifetime!  For you and a guest!  Let’s hope there will be many more years of those nice baked potatoes and creme puffs!!  I got my chance to be with the real golden ticket guy!  What a kind person.

Gonna try something new…

Gonna try something new…

I’ve been trying to clean out my home studio to just get it better organized, and i found boxes and boxes of cassettes from countless interviews I did over the years at WEBE.  Very soon I will be posting some of the best here.  But I’d like to have you pick from a few choices, of who you’d like to hear.   I’m gonna put them on digital, mostly unedited, and some with maybe a bit of strong language.  It’s gonna be fun!!  Coming soon!  And i will tell you why i was holding a piece of bread with Tiffany!

I Hate Being Cold.

I Hate Being Cold.

I hate being cold.   And it’s worse when you can’t be anywhere where you can warm up.  I wasn’t like this sledding down the hill at Nathan Hale school in Norwalk as a kid.   Or Birchwood Country Club in Westport.  We all expected to freeze.  And then with my 4 kids, it was never cold being outdoors with them growing up.  Then, whatever happened happened.  All of a sudden, cold became an enemy.  Even sitting on the ice cold bleachers as all the kids were in Trumbull High School Marching Band wasn’t bad.  Hand warmers became friends.  But now, even taking out the trash the night is a cold walk.  Layers don’t even do the trick anymore.  Give me a beach.  And something cold to drink.  Then I like cold!
