General Contest Rules

The decision of station prevails in all instances.  No purchase necessary to win.  Employees, families of Cumulus Media, related companies and agencies or other broadcast stations are not eligible. If you’ve won during the past 30 days, you are not eligible to win again until 30 days are over.  In fairness to all listeners, for prizes valued at one thousand dollars or more, eligibility is limited to once every six months.  Winners are not eligible to participate in station contests after winning another one for 30 days from date won. Winners may only win once during seasonal or on-going contests. Winners who win $1,000 or more in prizes or cash are not eligible to win for six months after the day they’ve won.  Any contest is void where prohibited by law.  Only one entry per family.  You must be 18 or older to play.  Each entry received in the allotted time period in the case of a write-in contest in the correctly designated manner in the case of either a write-in or call-in contest is eligible to win the designated prize.  Only 1 entry per person will be allowed unless otherwise stated.  In the case of call-in contests, the correct numbered caller in consecutive order as announced on the air wins.  Time Delay Between Over-theAir Analog Signal and Internet Broadcast:  Due to the time delay that exists between the Station's analog over-the-air signal and the Station's online webcast, listeners who listen to the station online may hear the cue to call later than listeners listening to the Station's analog over-the-air signal.  As a result, the odds of an online listener winning this Contest may be diminished.  Contest winners are responsible for taxes in compliance with all laws in connection with the winning and enjoyment of the prize.  If required, winner must secure the prize in person by showing suitable identification and by signing a receipt.  Unless otherwise stated, prizes must be picked up at 2 Lafayette Square in Bridgeport, Connecticut during regular business hours within 90 days of winning the prize.  In many cases, the prizes will be mailed.  Each entrant in the contest acknowledges that in the event he or she is a winner, the station has the right to publicize and broadcast their names, voices and likeness.  In the case of a call-in contest, the act of voluntarily phoning the stations following a contest call-in solicited by the station announcer over the air constitutes implicit permission to broadcast the contestant.  Toll free accessible. Five Question Quiz Contest Rules

1. No purchase is necessary.

2. Must be 18 years of age or older to win.)

3. All contests are open to the general public except for employees, agents, subsidiaries and affiliates of WEBE108, Cumulus Broadcasting, Inc., participating sponsors, their immediate families, and household members

4. An individual may win an on-going contest only once per six-month period unless otherwise specifically stated. An individual may win other seasonal or one-time contests only once for the duration of the contest.

5. The contest will run indefinitely until determined by WEBE108.

6. The daily minimum eligible prize is $108. The first jackpot starts at $108. Each day the 5 questions are not answered correctly $10 increments will be added to the daily prize. Once all five questions have been correctly answered by the caller, the daily jackpot is reset to $108. (Answers are determined correct by matching the answers pre-determined by the WEBE108 panel of experts.)

7. WEBE108 may award consolation prizes which will be determined. Consolation prize winners are considered winners and must adhere to the 30 day waiting period until eligible to win another on-air contest.

8. Listeners can enter the contest by calling the WEBE108 studio line, 1-800-WEBE108 during the WEBE108 Morning Show at approximately 7:00am. . Effective 1/1/2009 ONLY CONNECTICUT RESIDENTS ELIGIBLE FOR CASH PRIZES. 1-800-number is accessible from Connecticut only.

9. When the WEBE108 Morning Show host announces the 5-Question Quiz, approximately 7:00am, the 8th caller will be the chosen participant to answer the quiz. If the caller correctly answers all 5 questions by matching their answers with the answers determined by the WEBE108 panel of experts, they win the 5 Question Quiz cash jackpot.

10. All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner. All those who win a prize / prizes valued at over $600 will be issued an IRS form 1099 to report their winnings.

11. All prizes are awarded "as is." Gifts/prizes are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged.

12. The station shall not be responsible for the failure of participating sponsors to deliver prizes as promised.

13. All entrants and winners agree that WEBE108, Cumulus Broadcasting, Inc., and their affiliates, shall have no liability and shall be held blameless for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property insured by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest by use or non-use of any prize received.

15. All prizes will be mailed, or can be claimed in person at the WEBE108 studios at 2 Lafayette Square, Bridgeport, CT 06604, during regular business hours and within ten business days of winning, excluding holidays. After such time, ownership of said prize reverts back to the station to be disposed of at their discretion. The winner then loses all claims and rights to said prize.

16. Proper identification must be presented to claim prize. Winners will be asked to fill out a Winner’s Affidavit and Release.

17. All entry blanks, forms devices and materials, as well as all the information contained on or within, gathered during the course of entry, shall become the sole property of the station to be used, disposed of or destroyed at the discretion of the station.

18. All entrants and winners agree that the station may broadcast or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including their voice, recorded or live, for any reason the station deems necessary without compensation. All entrants further agree to hold the station blameless and without liability for such publication, broadcast or use.

19. The station reserves the right to end a contest at any time without any advanced notice to the public

20. The station reserves the right to limit the number of times an individual may enter a contest or drawing.

21. The station reserves the right to require contestants to be present at drawings in order to win their prize.

22. Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or cheating shall be grounds for the station to disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future contests and events at the sole discretion of the station, as well as forfeiture of any prize or prizes won by fraudulent means.

The Station will conduct the ‘Acts of Kindness Promotion’ (the “Contest”) substantially as described in these rules, and by participating, each participant agrees as follows:

1.      No purchase is necessary.  Void where prohibited.  All federal, state, and local regulations apply.

2.   Only legal U.S. residents age 18 or older with a valid Social Security number at the time of entry are eligible to participate in Station contests. Employees, agents, representatives, or affiliates of the Station, Cumulus Media Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates, participating sponsors, other radio stations, television stations and print advertising companies serving the metro area, and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible to participate.  The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, siblings, grandparents, children, grandchildren and cohabiting significant others.

3.      An individual may win an on-going contest only once per six-month period unless otherwise specifically stated.   An individual may win other seasonal or one-time contests only once for the duration of the contest. The Station reserves the right to limit the number of times an individual may enter a contest or drawing.

4.      The contest will begin on January 14th, 2013and will run throughMarch 31st, 2013 (the “Contest Period”).

5.      There is one way to be entered into this Contest:

(i)        You must be 18 years or older and be at the chosen location of the radio station.  One person (or people) will be randomly chosen to receive an “Act of Kindness”

6.      There are no grand prize winners.  Additional expenses and fees associated not covered by the station contest included in the foregoing prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.  Prize value determined by the station at the time of visit.

7.      Odds of winning depend on the number of people present.  Winning is a random selection determined by the station and awarded the pre-determined prize.

8.      All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner.  All those who win a prize or prizes valued $600 or more in any given year will be issued an IRS Form 1099 to report their winnings.

9.      All prizes are awarded “as is.”   Prizes are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged.  No substitute prize will be awarded to a winner who declines to accept a prize.  The Station reserves the right to require contestants to be present at drawings in order to win their prize.  The Station shall not be responsible for the failure of participating sponsors to deliver the prizes or any part thereof as described herein.

10.  All prizes will be distributed on location chosen by station.  As a condition of receiving prize, winner must agree to release their full name to the station and agree to participation in the contest.

11.  All entrants and winners agree that the Station shall have no liability for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property incurred by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest and/or by the acceptance, use, or non-use of any prize received in connection with this contest.

12.  All entry blanks, forms, devices, and materials gathered during the course of entry, as well as all information contained on or within, shall become the sole property of the Station to be used, disposed of or destroyed in its sole discretion.  The Station is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information entered by website users, and assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to the Station’s website.

13.  By participating in a Station contest in which text-message-based entry is permitted, entrants acknowledge that text messages are distributed and delivered through third party providers.  Station does not guarantee, nor shall Station be in any way responsible for, the delivery or timeliness of any text message entry.  Station will at all times consider the time that a message is logged as arriving in its system as being the time of entry, regardless of the time at which the entrant attempted to send the entry and any technical problems or other complications that may have delayed its delivery.  Station is not responsible for service outages, message failures, transmission delays or any other factor affecting the availability or performance of the text messaging service.  Contests with text-message-based entries are subject to the Station’s Privacy Policy.  By participating in Station contests, entrants agree that the Station may contact that entrant at the telephone number from which the text message entry was received.  All text message entries must come from a valid and identifiable telephone number.  Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry if that entry’s source and sender cannot be reasonably determined.  Station, through its third party text messaging administrators, will store all messages received on its system.  Station may require, on request, proof of identity as to the rightful owner of the phone number from which the text message entry was sent.

14.  All entrants and winners agree to give the Station and its licensees, affiliates, successors, and assigns the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use, re-use, broadcast, or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including portraits and pictures, in whole or in part, as part of a composite, retouched or distorted in character or form, and winner’s voice, recorded or live, for any reason the Station deems necessary without compensation, unless prohibited by law.  All winners release, discharge, and agree to hold the Station harmless from any and all claims they may have against the Station in connection with the taking, production, or the use of winners’ name, city of residence, any photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including portraits and pictures, in whole or in part, as part of a composite, retouched, or distorted in character or form and without restrictions as to any changes, transformations or alterations, and including winners’ voices, recorded or live.  All winners further acknowledge that the Station owns or will own exclusively any photographs of such winners used for such purposes, including the copyrights in them, regardless of the form in which they have been or may be produced and used, and all winners assign all such ownership rights to the Station.

15.  By participating in the Contest, each participant agrees to receive email communications from the Station regarding Station events and contests. Any participant that opts-out of these mailings will also remove themselves from the contest.  By participating in the Contest, where allowed by law, participants agree that the Station may disclose personal information obtained from participants in the Contest to third parties and use such information for marketing and other purposes.

16.  By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of Station personnel. Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified. Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited. The Station will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules or the Contest and the Station’s decisions concerning such disputes shall be final. If the conduct or outcome of the Contest is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of the Station, the Station reserves the right to terminate this Contest, or make such other decisions regarding the administration or outcome as the Station deems appropriate. All decisions will be made by the Station are final. The Station may waive any of these rules in its sole discretion. ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY CIRCUMVENT, DISRUPT OR DAMAGE ORDINARY AND NORMAL OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST, TELEPHONE SYSTEMS OR WEBSITES, OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, STATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

17.  By participating in this contest, each participant agrees to waive any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury, loss of property or property damage that he or she may sustain as a result of his or her participation in the contest and/or the use of any prize, and any damages or losses arising from the implementation or carrying out of the contest or any participant’s failure to win the contest or receive the prize, and to release the Station, Cumulus Media Inc. and its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and all contest sponsors from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with his or her participation in the contest, even though that liability may arise out of an intentional act, omission, negligence or carelessness  on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above.

The Stations will conduct The Eagles Flyaway (the “Contest”) substantially as described in these rules, and by participating, each participant agrees as follows:

  1. No purchase is necessary.  Void where prohibited.  All federal, state, and local regulations apply.

2.   Only legal U.S. residents age 21 or older with a valid Social Security number at the time of entry are eligible to participate in Station contests. Employees, agents, representatives, or affiliates of the Stations, Cumulus Media Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates, participating sponsors, other radio stations, television stations and print advertising companies serving the metro area, and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible to participate.  The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, siblings, grandparents, children, grandchildren and cohabiting significant others.

  1. An individual may win an on-going contest only once per six-month period unless otherwise specifically stated.   An individual may win other seasonal or one-time contests only once for the duration of the contest. The Station reserves the right to limit the number of times an individual may enter a contest or drawing.
  2. The contest will begin on Monday, April 22, 2013 and will run through Thursday, May 2, 2013 (the “Contest Period”).
  3. To enter this Contest, listeners can register online at www.webe108.com, or via WEBE180’s facebook page, wwww.facebook/webe108. (10) registrants will be randomly selected by the Station in its sole discretion to be qualified to win the grand prize.  The Station will qualify total of 10 listeners during the Contest Period, for a total of 568 listeners from 32 participating Stations nationwide.   Time Delay Between Over-the-Air Analog Signal and Internet Broadcast: Due to the time delay that exists between the Station’s analog over-the-air signal and the Station’s online webcast, listeners who listen to the Station online may hear the contest details to register later than listeners listening to the Station’s analog over-the-air signal. As a result, the odds of an online listener winning this Contest may be diminished.
  4.   On Friday, May 3, 2013 one (1) qualifier from all eligible qualifiers will be randomly selected as the potential grand prize winners.  If it is determined that the candidate is not eligible to receive the grand prize, another qualifier will be randomly selected for eligibility consultation and this process will continue on until such time as an eligible candidate is found.  In the unlikely event that no candidates are found to meet the specifications, then the prize will go un-awarded. 
  5. One grand prize will be awarded.  Grand prize package consists of: a three day/two night trip for two adults to Washington, DC from July 21-23, 2013, including: round-trip coach airfare to/from Washington, DC for winner and adult guest; two (2) nights single-room, double occupancy hotel accommodations in a hotel in Washington, DC; and two tickets to a Eagles performance on 7/22/13 at Verizon Center.  Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary.  All expenses and fees associated with the grand prize not expressly included in the foregoing prize description are the sole responsibility of the winner.  Total grand prize package is valued at $3,000.

When your Station plays the “cue-to-call” sounder, listeners should call the Station at the number provided by the Station’s on-air personality.  Caller 8 to the Station, as determined by the Station in its sole discretion, will win a Michael Buble CD and be qualified to win the grand prize.  WEBE108 will qualify 10 winners total, Monday-Friday *at 1:08pm & 4:08pm (*approximate time).   Time Delay Between Over-the-Air Analog Signal and Internet Broadcast: Due to the time delay that exists between the Station’s analog over-the-air signal and the Station’s online webcast, listeners who listen to the Station online may hear the cue to call later than listeners listening to the Station’s analog over-the-air signal. As a result, the odds of an online listener winning this Contest may be diminished.
  4.   On Friday, May 4th, 2013 one (1) qualifier from all eligible qualifiers will be randomly selected as the potential grand prize winner.  If it is determined that the candidate is not eligible to receive the grand prize, another qualifier will be randomly selected for eligibility consultation and this process will continue on until such time as an eligible candidate is found.  In the unlikely event that no candidates are found to meet the specifications, then the prize will go un-awarded.  
  5. One grand prize will be awarded.  The grand prize package  consists of: a three night trip for two adults to Nassau Bahamas from August 30th-September 2nd, 2013, including: round-trip coach airfare for winner and adult guest; (3) nights single-room, double occupancy hotel accommodations at Atlantis Paradise Island, to be designated by the Station; and two tickets to a Michael Buble performance August 31st, 2013 in Nassau Bahamas, including entry to the meet and greet with Michael Buble at a time to be designated by the Station.  Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary.  All expenses and fees associated with the grand prize not expressly included in the foregoing prize description are the sole responsibility of the winner.  Total grand prize package is valued at $2,500.
  6. Odds of winning depend on a number of factors including the number of eligible entries received.
  7. All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner.  All those who win a prize or prizes valued $600 or more in any given year will be issued an IRS Form 1099 to report their winnings.
  8. All prizes are awarded “as is.”   Prizes are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged.  No substitute prize will be awarded to a winner who declines to accept a prize.  The Station reserves the right to require contestants to be present at drawings in order to win their prize.  The Station shall not be responsible for the failure of participating sponsors to deliver the prizes or any part thereof as described herein.
  9. All prizes must be claimed in person at the Station at the address identified above during regular business hours and within ten (10) business days of winning, excluding holidays, unless otherwise agreed to by the Station at its sole discretion.  After such time, ownership of said prize reverts back to the Station to be disposed of at its discretion.  The winner then loses all claims and rights to said prize.  Proper identification must be presented by any winner to claim prize.  As a condition to receiving any prize, each potential winner must complete and sign a Winner’s Affidavit and Release, releasing the Station from all liability in connection with winner’s participation in the contest and acceptance, use, or non-use of the contest prize.
  10. All entrants and winners agree that the Station shall have no liability for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property incurred by entering, participating in, winning or losing any contest and/or by the acceptance, use, or non-use of any prize received in connection with this contest.
  11. All entry blanks, forms, devices, and materials gathered during the course of entry, as well as all information contained on or within, shall become the sole property of the Station to be used, disposed of or destroyed in its sole discretion.  The Station is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information entered by website users, and assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to the Station’s website.
  12. By participating in a Station contest in which text-message-based entry is permitted, entrants acknowledge that text messages are distributed and delivered through third party providers.  Station does not guarantee, nor shall Station be in any way responsible for, the delivery or timeliness of any text message entry.  Station will at all times consider the time that a message is logged as arriving in its system as being the time of entry, regardless of the time at which the entrant attempted to send the entry and any technical problems or other complications that may have delayed its delivery.  Station is not responsible for service outages, message failures, transmission delays or any other factor affecting the availability or performance of the text messaging service.  Contests with text-message-based entries are subject to the Station’s Privacy Policy.  By participating in Station contests, entrants agree that the Station may contact that entrant at the telephone number from which the text message entry was received.  All text message entries must come from a valid and identifiable telephone number.  Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry if that entry’s source and sender cannot be reasonably determined.  Station, through its third party text messaging administrators, will store all messages received on its system.  Station may require, on request, proof of identity as to the rightful owner of the phone number from which the text message entry was sent.
  13. All entrants and winners agree to give the Station and its licensees, affiliates, successors, and assigns the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use, re-use, broadcast, or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including portraits and pictures, in whole or in part, as part of a composite, retouched or distorted in character or form, and winner’s voice, recorded or live, for any reason the Station deems necessary without compensation, unless prohibited by law.  All winners release, discharge, and agree to hold the Station harmless from any and all claims they may have against the Station in connection with the taking, production, or the use of winners’ name, city of residence, any photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including portraits and pictures, in whole or in part, as part of a composite, retouched, or distorted in character or form and without restrictions as to any changes, transformations or alterations, and including winners’ voices, recorded or live.  All winners further acknowledge that the Station owns or will own exclusively any photographs of such winners used for such purposes, including the copyrights in them, regardless of the form in which they have been or may be produced and used, and all winners assign all such ownership rights to the Station.
  14. By participating in the Contest, each participant agrees to receive email communications from the Station regarding Station events and contests. Any participant that opts-out of these mailings will also remove themselves from the contest.  By participating in the Contest, where allowed by law, participants agree that the Station may disclose personal information obtained from participants in the Contest to third parties and use such information for marketing and other purposes.
  15. By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of Station personnel. Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified. Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited. The Station will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules or the Contest and the Station’s decisions concerning such disputes shall be final. If the conduct or outcome of the Contest is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of the Station, the Station reserves the right to terminate this Contest, or make such other decisions regarding the administration or outcome as the Station deems appropriate. All decisions will be made by the Station are final. The Station may waive any of these rules in its sole discretion. ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY CIRCUMVENT, DISRUPT OR DAMAGE ORDINARY AND NORMAL OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST, TELEPHONE SYSTEMS OR WEBSITES, OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, STATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
  16. By participating in this contest, each participant agrees to waive any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury, loss of property or property damage that he or she may sustain as a result of his or her participation in the contest and/or the use of any prize, and any damages or losses arising from the implementation or carrying out of the contest or any participant’s failure to win the contest or receive the prize, and to release the Station, Cumulus Media Inc. and its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and all contest sponsors from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with his or her participation in the contest, even though that liability may arise out of an intentional act, omission, negligence or carelessness  on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above.
  17. A winners list may be obtained after March 1, 2013 by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to the one of the Station addresses set forth above.
