General Contest Rules


The decision of station prevails in all instances. No purchase necessary to win any contest. Employees, families of Cumulus Media, related companies and agencies or other broadcast stations are not eligible. If you've won during the past 30 days you are not eligible to win again until 30 days are over. (Winners are not eligible to participate in station contests after winning for another 30 days from the day they won). Winners may only win once during seasonal or on-going contests. Winners who win $1,000 or more in prizes or cash are not eligible to win for six months to the day they won. Any contest is void where prohibited by law. Only one entry per family. You must be 18 years or older to play. Each entry received in the allotted time period in the case of a write-in contest in the correctly designated manner in the case of either a write in or call in contest is eligible to win the designated prize. Only 1 entry per person will be allowed inless otherwise designated. Write-in contest winners will be selected at random by the station unless otherwise stated. In the case of call-in contests, the correct numbered caller in consecutive order as announced on the air wins. Contest winners are responsible for taxes in compliance with all laws in connection with the winning and enjoyment of the prize. If required, winner must secure the prize in person by showing suitable identification and by signing a receipt. If stated, prizes must be picked up at 2 Lafayette Square, Bridgeport, Connecticut during business hours within 90 days of winning the prize. In many cases, the prizes will be mailed. Each entrant in the contest acknowledges that in the event he or she is a winner, the station has the right to publicize and broadcast their names, voices, and likeness. In the case of call-contest, the act of voluntarily phoning the stations following a contest call-in solicited by the station announcer over the air constitutes implicit permission to broadcst the contestant. WEBE108 disclaims any responsibility for inability to complete a telephone call within the allotted time period, whether due to telephone equipment malfunction, busy lines, or otherwise. On-air announcements shall be considered the official contest in substitute of any online or email announced contests. WEBE108 also has the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value.

1. No purchase is necessary.

2. Must be at least 18 years of age in order to participate and win.

3. All contests are open to the general public nationwide, except for employees, agents, subsidiaries and affiliates of WEBE108 other participating Cumulus stations, Cumulus Broadcasting LLC., participating sponsors, their immediate families, household members and all other radio industry employees. To be eligible listeners must have a working telephone number; both, when qualifying, and at the time they are selected as a prize winner. Individuals with disconnected phone numbers that have been changed without a forwarding phone number will be bypassed during the random winner selection process.

4. An individual may win an on-going contest only once per the duration of the contest unless otherwise specifically stated. An individual may win other seasonal or one-time contests only once for the duration of the contest.

5. The contest will begin on Monday December 24, 2007, and will run through Friday, January 11, 2008 for entries. The weight loss portion of the contest will run from 01-21-08 to 03-01-08.

6. 108 WEBE - 108 listeners will win a 6 week free membership to Sportsplex (Stamford or Bethel locations) beginning on January 21, 2008.

7. Listeners can enter the contest by filling out the entry form on www.webe108.com or in person at the Sportsplex locations.

8. Contestants chosen for the free membership are eligible for a weekly and grand prize based on the percentage of weight lost each week from the starting weigh-in. Weigh-in meetings will begin on 01-14-08 and end on 1-20-08. Failure to go to a weigh-in meeting will disqualify contestant from contest. The final weigh-in(s) will occur on March 1, 2008. All weigh-in will be at the Sportsplex locations.

9. Contestants will be required to fill-out a health questionnaire and may be disqualified based on that questionnaire or need Physicians clearance prior to using the Sportsplex facilities.

10. All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner. All those who win a prize / prizes valued at over $600 will be issued an IRS form 1099 to report their winnings. Winners with a prize over $600 may not play any on air WEBE contests for another 6 months.

11. All prizes are awarded “as is.” Prizes are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged for other trips, prizes or cash.

12. WEBE108 and Sportsplex shall not be responsible for the failure of participating sponsors to deliver prizes as promised.

13. All entrants and winners agree that WEBE, Cumulus Broadcasting LLC., their affiliates, and sponsors shall have no liability and shall be held blameless for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property insured by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest by use or non-use of any prize received.

14. All qualifying prizes will be mailed by WEBE after a W9 is signed by the winner and received by WEBE. After such time, ownership of said prize reverts to Cumulus Broadcasting LLC., to be disposed of at their discretion. The winner then loses all claims and rights to said prize.

15. State issued identification must be presented to claim prize if the winner comes in and picks up their prize.

16. All entry blanks, forms devices and materials, as well as all the information contained on or within, gathered during the course of entry, shall become the sole property of the station to be used, disposed of or destroyed at the discretion of the station. Such use including, but not limited to, enrolling entrant in one or more of the station’s listener clubs and sending entrant correspondence and solicitations with regard to such clubs. Further Cumulus Broadcasting LLC is not responsible for lost, mutilated, illegible, misdirected, late, stolen, incorrect or incomplete entries. WEBE and Cumulus Broadcasting are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information entered by website users, and assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to the website.

When the song is played later in the day, that’s the signal to call in and be the 8th caller to win.

8. All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner. All those who win a prize / prizes valued at over $600 will be issued an IRS form 1099 to report their winnings. Winners with a prize over $600 may not play any on air WEBE contests for another 6 months.

5 Question Quiz Rules

1. No purchase is necessary.
2. Must be 18 years of age or older to win.)
3. All contests are open to the general public except for employees, agents, subsidiaries and affiliates of WEBE108, Cumulus Broadcasting, Inc., participating sponsors, their immediate families, and household members
4. An individual may win an on-going contest only once per six-month period unless otherwise specifically stated. An individual may win other seasonal or one-time contests only once for the duration of the contest.
5. The contest will run indefinitely until determined by WEBE108.
6. The daily minimum eligible prize is $108. Each day the 5 questions are not answered correctly $10 increments will be added to the daily prize. Once all five questions have been correctly answered by the caller, the daily jackpot is reset to $108. (Answers are determined correct by matching the answers pre-determined by the WEBE108 panel of experts.)
7. WEBE108 may award consolation prizes which will be determined. Consolation prize winners are considered winners and must adhere to the 30 day waiting period until eligible to win another on-air contest.
8. Listeners can enter the contest by calling the WEBE108 studio line, 1-800-WEBE108 during the WEBE108 Morning Show at approximately 7:00am.
9. When the WEBE108 Morning Show host announces the 5-Question Quiz, approximately 7:00am, the 8th caller will be the chosen participant to answer the quiz. If the caller correctly answers all 5 questions by matching their anwers with the answers determined by the WEBE108 panel of experts, they win the 5 Question Quiz cash jackpot.
10. All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner. All those who win a prize / prizes valued at over $600 will be issued an IRS form 1099 to report their winnings.

16. Proper identification must be presented to claim prize. Winners will be asked to fill out a Winner’s Affidavit and Release.
17. All entry blanks, forms devices and materials, as well as all the information contained on or within, gathered during the course of entry, shall become the sole property of the station to be used, disposed of or destroyed at the discretion of the station.

All entrants and winners agree that the station may broadcast or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including their voice, recorded or live, for any reason the station deems necessary without compensation. All entrants further agree to hold the station blameless and without liability for such publication, broadcast or use.

Cash Vault Rules

1. No purchase is necessary.

4. The contest will begin on March 1, 2005, and will run through October 28, 2005.
5. The grand prize will be $108,000. There will be only one winner. If the winning combination is found, the contest is over.
6. To win, the entrant must enter only six digits and those six digits must match the six digits to open the vault. The combination 1-2-3-4-5-6 is NOT eligible to be entered. The winning combination is held in escrow and may be viewed after the contest is completed. WEBE108 solely determines the days and times the cash vault combination may be tried. No more than 6,000 total tries will be afforded during the contest period or until a winner is established – whichever comes first.
7. Only one try at the WEBE108 $108,000 Cash Box per entrant per day. A WEBE108 representative must be present at the time the digits are entered. If the vault is tampered with in any way, or broken into, no prize will be awarded.
8. All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner. All those who win a prize / prizes valued at over $600 will be issued an IRS form 1099 to report their winnings.

Any misrepresentation of eligibility, whether intentional or unintentional, will be sufficient cause to forfeit any prize award. The prize will be awarded within 5 weeks of winning. This agreement must be read and signed for prize eligibility. WEBE108 has the right to disqualify any individual if contest rules are not followed.
13. All entry blanks, forms devices and materials, as well as all the information contained on or within, gathered during the course of entry, shall become the sole property of the station to be used, disposed of or destroyed at the discretion of the station.
14. All entrants and winners agree that the station may broadcast or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including their voice, recorded or live, for any reason the station deems necessary without compensation. All entrants further agree to hold the station blameless and without liability for such publication, broadcast or use.
15. The station reserves the right to end a contest at any time without any advanced notice to the public.
16. The station reserves the right to limit the number of times an individual may enter the contest.
17. The station reserves the right to require contestants to be present at drawings in order to win their prize.
18. Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or cheating shall be grounds for the station to disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future contests and events at the sole discretion of the station, as well as forfeiture of any prize or prizes won by fraudulent means.

Pepperidge Farm Indemnification Clause:

In consideration for Pepperidge Farm advertising on Station, Station agrees to indemnify Pepperidge Farm and its parent, subsidiaries, and divisions, and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from and against any and all claims, demands, judgments, costs (including settlement costs), and expenses associated therewith (including the payment of reasonable attorney fees and disbursements), arising out of: (1) the services performed or actions taken by Station or those acting under it in connection with the Promotion including the operation, management and advertising of the Promotion and/or activity incidental thereto; (2) the negligence of Station, its employees or agents; (3) Station’s failure to perform its obligations hereunder; and (4) Station’s failure to comply with statutes, ordinances, regulations, or other requirements of any government authority that are applicable to the Promotion; provided, however, that such indemnification and hold harmless obligation shall not apply to the extent that any such claims, demands, judgments, costs and expenses are attributable to the negligence or intentional misconduct of Pepperidge Farm.
