Thomas Mezzanotte, a Connecticut Commission of the Arts Master Teaching Artist, led the children through a workshop about the science and history of camera obscura, helped them build their own pinhole cameras out of shoeboxes, and assisted them in taking and developing self-portraits.

The camera obscura workshop and exhibition at Black Rock Art Center are possible thanks to the Creative Collaboration Grant awarded by the Connecticut Council on Culture and Tourism.

The Positive Results exhibit will be open April 12 through June 7, Mon – Fri 1-5 pm, or by appointment.

Black Rock Art Center is located at 2838 Fairfield Ave. Bridgeport, with free parking behind the building on Brewster St. For more information, please call 203-367-7917 or visit www.blackrockartcenter.org.
