Connecticut's favorite musical-theater performers are blending their star power with Broadway's best and brightest to present "Out Tonight: A Rock Musical Benefit Concert," on Saturday July 31, 2010.  The concert will feature 20+ local performers singing favorite songs from the most popular rock musicals of all-time, including RENT, Hair, The Who's Tommy, Jesus Christ Superstar, Spring Awakening and many more. In addition to live entertainment, the evening will also include raffle prizes, a silent auction, local artist display, and the announcement of the full BTC 2010/11 season of shows which will include two musicals and two plays.

This famous modern home designed by renowned architect Philip Johnson and nested off Ponus Ridge in New Canaan is opening as a museum under the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Johnson bequeathed the 45-acre property to the national trust in 1986 and lived in the Glass House until he died two years ago.

They’ll enjoy role-playing doctors and dentists, mastering ten different computer games; driving an ambulance and riding a bike with a human skeleton, among other fun activities. This interactive children’s health expo will
take place throughout the museum. The 1500 square foot exhibit is free with museum admission and will remain at Stepping Stones for approximately five years.

BioBlitz BACKGROUND: During a BioBlitz researchers and biological surveyors collect data for 24 hours on the diversity of species that occur within a town’s open spaces. There are several BioBlitz events each year throughout Connecticut. One of the main goals of a BioBlitz is to collect data from a single town in multiple seasons to see how the species diversity of a place changes annually. Habitats available for the Stratford survey include 2 beaches, a salt marsh, a cranberry bog, rivers, streams, ponds, and a mixed hardwood forest.
