The U.S. Chemicals “Green Office Challenge” Team piles into a Smart Car convertible to celebrate winning the Gault Energy-WEBE 108 FM “Green Office Challenge” grand prize (L to R, Letty Helgans, Laurie Sincacore, Natalya Levko, Paola Arango, Carol Piccaro, Sarah Zepeda, John Shrekgast). In addition to use of the Smart Car for the weekend, compliments of smart center Fairfield, the U.S. Chemicals team also won the opportunity to share its winning green office strategies with WEBE 108 FM listeners. The company’s Green Office Challenge story will air in an upcoming series. While competition judges were impressed with the scope of U.S. Chemicals’ “Green Office” initiatives, they were especially impressed with the company’s innovative strategy to help employees carry the green mindset home for the weekend with the creation of “Green Friday,” a new spin on Casual Friday. Gault Energy and WEBE 108 launched the Green Office Challenge to inspire Fairfield County companies to make 2010 their greenest year ever.
